I like such materials, because they look very natural and plants look great with them. I use only my boyfriends little balcony, because our is on the north side and there is no sun during the day. I planted there a lot of vegetables this year:-) Mostly tomatoes :-) It is all green there, because the plants are quite large and the balcony small...
